1st Responder Training on 7 June at CT Fire Academy's June Fire School an Overwhelming Success

Over the past few months, members of the project team, particularly Signature Transportation Parts & Service, Inc., have been working with the State Fire Marshal, local First Responder organizations across the state of Connecticut and the CT Fire Academy to ensure the Connecticut Clean Cities Future Fuels Project reached the right people to ensure training was offered for the new Alternative Fuel Vehicles and Stations being deployed across the state as part of the USDOE project.

The team was invited by the CT Fire Academy to offer a 1st Responder Training Course and to display Alternative Fuel Vehicles at this year's June Fire School. The June Fire School is a week long event offering many courses to help train and refresh
1st Responders on needed information and processes to protect themselves and save lives when an emergency occurs.

The call was issued to all project
partners and the response was 100% participation.

The morning class on Tuesday 7 June 2011 was well attended and the following AFV's and equipment were on-site with a representative to answer questions from the 1st Responder
s in attendance.
