On Monday the 26th of September the first public access CNG station will be formally opened in West Haven, CT. The station, located at Metro Taxi on Industry Drive will supply fuel for 110 new CNG taxis purchased by Metro with assistance from the Connecticut Clean Cities Future Fuels Project funded by the USDOE. Seventy of the fleet will be the all new MV-1, produced by Vehicle Products Group and geared to provide easy access for two wheelchairs, 35 Ford Transit Connect and 5 Honda Civic. Clean Energy Fuels built the station and will own/operate it – this is the first Clean Energy station in the state.
